The Standard seeks a talented actuary (FSA or near-FSA) to support the Stable Asset Fund business within the Retirement Plans division.  As a member of the team, you will have a key role in measuring performance and assessing / managing risk of our growing Inforce business.  Additionally, you will have opportunities to collaborate with other team members and actuaries within the organization on initiatives supporting new business.

Job Summary:

  • Inforce management including profitability assessment, competitive analysis, experience studies, & spread margin analytics
  • Pricing and product development (traditional stable value applications as well as new and adjacent markets) & Portfolio optimization
  • Contract management and actuarial filing support

Skills and Background You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or related field
  • FSA or near-FSA
  • Experience with retail or institutional spread-based insurance products
  • Knowledge of asset-liability management techniques and investment strategies
  • Actuarial modeling software experience, preferably GGY Axis
  • Advanced Excel (required), Python, Tableau or Power BI or similar experience preferred
  • Minimum 4 years progressively responsible actuarial experience

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

 

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$125,500.00 - $184,000.00
