Primary Purpose of the Position:
This position is assigned to Actuarial Services Division of the North Carolina Department of Insurance. This position works independently to provide technical support to the Chief Actuary and the Company Services Group and assists with the actuarial reviews of Health filings. This could include, Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, ACA, or Long-Term Care. This position assists in the review of actuarial issues related to pricing and solvency of health insurers conducting business in North Carolina.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, or closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of professional actuarial experience and Associate status in the Society of Actuaries (SOA); or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
