The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.

CNO Financial Group is hiring an Actuarial Trainee to be responsible for gathering, preparing, and providing management with actuarial information through specific analyses and reports. The position relates to valuation, projection, and reporting of business segments for CNO insurance companies.

Additionally, the position is part of an actuarial student program that will require progression on exams and progress through the actuarial educational system.

As an Actuarial Trainee, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing support to actuaries by performing analysis within a business segment

• Assisting with the preparation of reports and studies

• Providing clear communication of technical work

• Pursuing actuarial exams

The Actuarial Trainee position is well-suited for you if you:

• Understand programming languages including Visual Basic

• Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills

• Exhibit superior analytical thinking skills

• Possess strong motivation with superior analytical thinking and energy

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or related field

• Successful completion of at least one actuarial exam

• Experience with spreadsheet, database, and word processing applications
