Primary Responsibilities:
As the Actuarial Sr. Consultant your focus will be on Pharmacy claims reporting, analysis, and forecasting.
- Work with comprehensive pharmacy claims data to design, build, and maintain actuarial spread and rebate forecasting models to assist with financial analyses
- Diagnose issues and root causes, providing strategic solutions tailored to pharmacy-related challenges
- Apply your technical acumen to complex pharmacy-centric analyses, gleaning insights that enhance the consulting engagement
- Deliver visually compelling, accurate, and client-ready deliverables focusing on pharmacy data and forecasts
- Develop logical narratives in response to client questions, demonstrating your content knowledge in pharmacy analytics
- Communicate with pharmacists, clinicians, actuaries, underwriters, and finance teams
- Your cross-team collaboration responsibilities will include:
- Leading meetings with various clients, clinical staff, and actuarial teams to validate and develop modeling assumptions pertinent to pharmacy analytics.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to identify and develop pharmacy-related business questions for analytic investigation (e.g., pharmacy utilization analysis).
- Your research and analysis responsibilities will be to:
- Designing, executing, and assessing studies on pharmacy pricing, utilization, and healthcare costs for our diverse client base.
- Running complex data programs using relevant data/analytical tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, Excel, Tableau, PowerBI) to extract and analyze pharmacy-related data.
- Interpreting, compiling, and sharing results of pharmacy modeling analyses, offering coherent conclusions and recommendations.
- Effectively managing multiple tasks independently while working with team of individuals to creatively solution in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Candidates must be on the Actuarial exam track, having passed a minimum of 4 or more Actuarial exams
- 5+ years of Actuarial experience
- 3+ years of experience working with pharmacy claims data
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in architecting and executing complex data programs, utilizing tools such as R, SAS, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, VBA, and predictive modeling
- 3+ years of in-depth knowledge and experience working with pharmacy claims, including a comprehensive understanding of spread, rebates, drug costs, utilization, and pharmacy terminology
- 3+ years of experience demonstrating proficiency in forecasting medical or pharmacy claims, including the ability to understand and interpret complex factors such as drug costs and utilization
- 2+ years of experience developing and presenting complex analyses to cross-functional teams
- Location in Minnesota or Willing to relocate to Minnesota
