In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Analyze different types of Property & Casualty risks, including, but not limited to, Liability, Property, Cyber, Directors and Officers.
- Apply highly developed knowledge of models and analyses to assess risk and viability of risk mitigation solutions.
- Utilize actuarial and Monte Carlo techniques to model risks and evaluate insurance coverages available to clients.
- Perform actuarial analysis of client's key risk drivers to assess the cost/benefit of different insurance options.
- Consult with clients on issues that may be unclear to them and implement actionable insights to analyze and mitigate risk.
- Support Marsh USA sales and client service - both brokerage and consulting - through results presentation of results to clients, explanation or methodology, and analysis of alternative solutions to support need for data driven insights.
- Coach junior team members on the delivery of analytics-based tools and analyses and present findings to the client.
- Manage data, work with key stakeholders of the model, perform analysis, and implement models for bespoke client analyses and/or widespread use throughout the organization.
We would like you to have:
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Statistics (or Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related areas with strong Statistics comprehension)
- Strong casualty and actuarial analysis experience - Associate or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society
- 5+ years of experience:
- Building, reviewing, and maintaining complex actuarial models, such as loss and premium calculations using loss modeling tools, statistical models, and spreadsheet applications
- Working cross-functionally with IT, Underwriting, Finance, and/or clients to drive turn raw data into analytical, meaningful output to drive greater organizational value
- Using actuarial analyses to conduct industry and peer benchmark research, define trends, and draw conclusions
- Producing presentations to deliver and interpret results for clients and/or stakeholders for various lines of business or consulting topics
What makes ideal Candidate?:
- Strong presentation skills and consulting project experience – ability to translate results of data analysis into easy-to-understand insights for client risk decision-making
- Knowledge of commercial insurance programs – including specialty insurance (examples include Directors’ and Officers’, Cyber, and Errors and Omissions)
- Expert level of proficiency with MS Excel (VBA a plus). Familiarity with either SAS, SQL, R, or Python

The applicable base salary range for this role is $103,860 to $226,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
