Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions is currently seeking bright and motivated students who are interested in learning from a talented Actuarial team! During your internship, you will have the opportunity to assist on various projects within our Corporate Actuarial division. This full-time, paid position is based at our Corporate Headquarters in Plymouth, MN office. The projected start date is early June 2025 and the internship will last approximately 10-12 weeks.

What you will learn:
As an Intern, you will be given a solid overview of property-casualty insurance and Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions' operations. This position provides challenging, practical, and meaningful work experience in one or more of the following disciplines:

• Actuarial pricing
• Actuarial reserving
• Predictive modeling
• Stochastic financial modeling
• Data collection and reporting
• Information management
• Programming development.

You will focus on developing the skills necessary for success by working with and assisting professionals with day-to-day job assignments and special projects. While your assignments will vary over time as you gain experience and skills, interns will typically perform some of the work of an entry-level actuarial professional.

Qualifications:

• Must be working towards a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field and graduating in December 2025 or later
• Proficiency with computer software including current Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and other data entry and spreadsheet applications and programs
• Strong mathematical aptitude
• Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams is a plus
• Outstanding organization/time management skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills

Salary Range: $25 - $29 per hour
