Primary Responsibilities:
- This role will perform a mix of routine and ad-hoc actuarial activities in support of our team's underwriting tools. Example of recent business problems include:
- Improving monitoring of our tools' performances by automating data collection and reporting
- Designing analyses and interpreting results to answer client queries
- Developing new tools and processes to enhance our teams' analytic capabilities
- Collaborate effectively with our broader product team to complete projects on-time and with good quality

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Actuarial experience
- 2+ years of experience with R or Python programming
Preferred Qualifications:
- Candidates is on the Actuarial exam track, having passed a minimum of 2 Actuarial exams
- 1+ years of experience with SQL
- Experience with probabilistic or prospective modeling
- Consulting experience working in the health care industry with claims data

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
