Position Summary  

We seek a talented ASA or FSA to join the Individual Disability Pricing, Product Development, and Experience Studies Team. In this role you will support new product and pricing strategy, assist in competitive benchmarking and industry analysis, and develop and implement tools used for data analytics and assumption development. Your experience will determine the position level.  

Your key responsibilities may include:  

  • Supporting our IDI pricing and product development initiatives through competitive benchmarking, profitability analysis, and risk modeling.
  • Developing tools used to evaluate competitor product offerings and benchmark with current and potential future product initiatives.
  • Collaborating with SMEs across the department to ensure that appropriate actuarial perspectives are considered when making changes to underwriting policies, sales strategy, or policy management.
  • Building and maintaining databases, dashboards, and tools used for experience analysis, assumption development, and profitability assessment.
  • Acting as champion for adoption and integration of analytical tools such as Python and PowerBI.

  

Qualifications Required:  

  • ASA or FSA and 5+ years of actuarial experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree required  
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, Python preferred 
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills

  

Qualifications Desired:  

  • Individual Disability product knowledge
  • Pricing and/or Product Development Experience
  • Experience and/or proficiency with GGY-Axis
  • Experience and/or proficiency with Python (strongly preferred) or R
  • Experience with PowerBI and SQL

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

 

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$102,250.00 - $150,000.00
