The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.

CNO Financial Group is hiring an Actuarial Assistant, Corporate Actuarial to conduct experience studies, perform actuarial analyses, and complete other projects supporting the Company’s life, health, and annuity lines of business. This position is part of an actuarial student program that requires progression on actuarial exams and progress through the actuarial educational system.

As an Actuarial Assistant, Corporate Actuarial, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing experience studies for management

  • Providing analytical support to actuarial managers

  • Providing clear communication of technical work

  • Preparing effective documentation and change management controls

  • Assisting with the preparation of reports and studies without frequent manager oversight

  • Pursuing successful completion of actuarial exams

The Actuarial Assistant, Corporate Actuarial position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Are proficient in Excel and familiar with common data analysis software

  • Demonstrate general understanding of programming languages

  • Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Have excellent analytical skills

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or another related field

  • One year of experience in the actuarial field

  • Completion of at least three exams

What will set you apart:

  • Experience with SAS or SQL

  • Willingness to work Central or Eastern US time zone business hours

All associates may be asked to travel to varying corporate offices periodically. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.

Compensation

Pay Range: $77,100.00 - $115,700.00 Annual
