How you'll contribute:
As an Actuarial Assistant, you'll be responsible for developing and testing the Prophet model changes pertaining to the Annuity products, using best in class modeling standards. This position supports an essential function which will provide assurance to model users of the validity and transparency of model results for use in financial statements, and for analysis and risk management purposes.
In this role, you'll get to:
- Perform Prophet modeling for existing Annuity products. Create and build, update, enhance, run, and validate the models.
- Analyze model results, including reconciliation and attribution of changes, communication of results to management, and detailed documentation.
- Implement and test new software releases, library updates, new products, new regulatory requirements, and shared table changes in the Prophet environment.
- Optimize models to follow coding standards and improve performance.
- Stage model inputs using data conversion systems.
We're looking for people who have:
- A bachelor's degree in mathematics, Statistics or Actuarial Science.
- Passed at least one Society of Actuaries exam. (Required)
- Strong programming skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Conceptual and analytical skills to develop solutions to complex problems.
- Sound business judgment skills. (decision-making and problem solving)

What you'll receive:
- Compensation - Candidates for this role can be hired at the Actuarial Assistant or Actuarial Associate level. Level and salary to be commensurate with exam progress.
- Assistant Level (0-3 Exams): Base salary ranging from $65,000 to $75,000 plus competitive performance-based incentives determined by company and individual results.
- Associate Level (4+ Exams): Base salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 plus competitive performance-based incentives determined by company and individual results.
