[ Position Title:
Actuarial Analyst - Future Early Talent Opportunities

Job Description:

An Actuarial Analyst will be responsible for our team in functional areas of focus including, but not limited to, analyzing, developing, and validating statistical data. This Actuarial Analyst will join our Chief Financial Office Division and will work within a complex, collaborative environment. There will be many opportunities to take action and ownership to solve problems and lead change, all while making an impact on our members and the communities we serve.

How you will make an impact:
  • Under limited supervision, will apply the appropriate actuarial analytical tools to the data and performs preliminary actuarial and statistical analysis.
  • Update actuarial pricing, valuation and forecasting models as directed.
  • Collect and refine appropriate data for actuarial analysis and ensure its reasonableness and accuracy by coordination within the division, in addition to identifying and resolving errors.
  • Suggest creative methods to enhance the effectiveness of processes and procedures.


Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
  • At least one Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exam completed
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements


Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
  • Knowledge of actuarial and statistical modeling techniques used in actuarial projections
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership ability, as evidenced in extracurricular activities
  • Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communications
  • Exceptional in problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, Visual Basic, and Word)
  • Prior experience in corporate environment internship
  • Prior experience in an insurance industry internship
