ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Actuarial Analyst:
- Develop rate level indications for various lines.
- Perform rate level analysis by coverage, line, state and other relevant factors.
- Perform forecasting analysis.
- Perform special studies and research.
- Assist in the design of new and revised reports.
- Active participation in the Actuarial Education Program.
- Assist with filings to the State Insurance Departments, where necessary.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Associate Actuary:
- Develop rate level indications for various lines.
- Perform rate level analysis by coverage, line, state and other relevant factors.
- Perform forecasting analysis.
- Review and prepare analysis and reports on bureau rate changes.
- Perform special studies and research.
- Assist in the design of new and revised reports, proposals based on analysis of these reports.
- Assists in the development of Actuarial Analysts where needed.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Active participating in the Actuarial Education Program.
- Represent department's perspectives and needs in cross disciplinary settings, clearly communicating impacts and issues.
- Consistently demonstrate the Acuity Core Values.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Four-year degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Actuarial Analyst: Successful completion of an actuarial exam. Commitment to obtain Fellowship in Casualty Actuarial Science (CAS). Experience working within personal lines is a plus.
Associate Actuary: 3 years of insurance or related experience in personal lines.

Actuarial Analyst:

- Proven mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and on a team.
- Ability and desire to learn various actuarial techniques and procedures.
- Ability and desire to become familiar with company operations, actuarial methodologies and computer systems.
Associate Actuary:
- Successful completion of the Associate Casualty Actuarial Exams.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability and desire to learn various actuarial techniques and procedures.
- Ability and desire to become familiar with company operations, actuarial methodologies, and computer systems.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills as well as verbal and written communication skills
- Strong project coordination and organizational ability
- Actively pursuing Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society.

This job is classified as exempt.
The salary range for this position is $76,500 to $140,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
