The Impact You Will HaveReporting to the Regional CFO Actuarial function, in this role, you will support actuarial analysis in collaboration with other team members. This includes the procession of input data, preparation and updating of actuarial models, and documentation of assumptions and results. You will be involved in discussions with the business and maintains links to the other Actuarial and CFO departments as well as to Group functions. You will also provide project support in documentation and testing of the project deliverables.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
  • Prepare and perform Actuarial analysis for assigned business area including documentation, communication and explanation of results,
  • Develop global actuarial approaches and processes as well as enhance actuarial models and analyses,
  • Promote close collaboration and interaction with the various business areas (Group, UW, MM, CFO, etc.) to foster mutual understanding how business developments impact actuarial drivers in the financials,
  • Peer review work from other team members; and

What You'll Bring to the Role
  • Excellent tertiary qualification (ideally Master), preferably in Mathematics, Statistics or other appropriate discipline or qualified by experience in related discipline, Bachelor's degree required,
  • Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively in respect to the audience / level of management (both verbal and in writing).
  • The ability to positively influence others' actions, decisions, opinions or thinking resulting in positive outcomes. Ability to persuade and motivate others without direct authority.
  • Ability to identify patterns and root causes in complex (e.g. ambiguous, from various sources) data and processes to rapidly distill key issues and provide insight in various situations.
  • Ability to identify and initiate appropriate actions to remediate issues that can be abstract / ambiguous and follow through on their remediation.
  • At least 1 year of finance and insurance know-how (ideally P&C), as well as understanding of complexities inherent in an insurance group allowing for cross-departmental thinking and acting;
  • An Interest working in an international environment as part of a global team, open to business travel;
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office including VBA and relevant expert systems such as Matlab, R, SQL or Java, etc.);


The annualized base pay range for this role is $53455 - $90982. The annual base salary range represents the Chicago market range. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AGCS total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
