This job is hybrid with 2 mandatory in-office days per week at our Stamford, CT location. We believe the 2-day requirement provides a good balance of the quality in-office time that is essential, while still balancing the convenience of at-home time.

This position reports to the product owner of property and general liability coverages and is exposed to a wide array of businesses and coverages including liquor liability, flood, earthquake, hurricane and severe convective storm. Job Responsibilities
- Work alongside actuaries and manager to analyze the profitability of Commercial Property and/or General Liability lines.
- Prepare indications and supporting documentation for rate filings, as well as responding to questions from regulators.
- Evaluate existing and new rating variables to improve the product.
- Evaluate third party data for use in underwriting and pricing.
- Perform competitive analysis for both pricing and coverage.
- Maintain company pricing tables and premium at present rates program.
- Additional duties as assigned such as special actuarial projects, monitoring regulatory and legislative activities, insurance departments, data science projects, etc.
Required Knowledge and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics or related field or equivalent experience
- 2 or more passed actuarial exams
- 2 or more years in Commercial Property or General Liability pricing experience
- Advanced use of Excel
- Proficient in SQL
- Experience coding in Python
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Some experience in predictive modeling techniques preferred
- A curiosity and passion for actuarial work

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith compensation range estimate is being provided. The salary range for this position is $85,000- $125,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
