How you'll contribute:
As an Annuity Actuarial Modeling Team, you'll be responsible for supporting the team that develops and tests Prophet models pertaining to annuity products, using best in class modeling standards. This work will help Brighthouse Financial improve the processes used to develop models, enabling us to produce better models more quickly.
In this internship, you'll get to:
- Work on Prophet modeling for existing Annuity products. Involvement encompasses creating and building, updating, enhancing, running, and validating the models.
- Analyze model results, including reconciliation and attribution of changes, communication of results to management, and detailed documentation.
- Implement and test new software releases.
- Effectively partner with various business units, including Valuation, Projections, and IT Optimize models to follow coding standards and improve performance.
- Stage model inputs using data conversion systems.
We're looking for students who:
- are Sophomores and Juniors studying Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related discipline.
- are actively studying for or taking pre-ASA level exams with the Society of Actuaries.
- Working towards an actuarial career.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work with others in a team environment.

- $23/hour pay; 40-hour work weeks. (with the exception of holiday weeks)
