The Actuarial Analyst is responsible for assisting Actuaries by compiling data, preparing reports, producing exhibits, and maintaining databases. You will gain exposure to the Underwriting and Claims departments and provide meaningful updates by utilizing good communication, analytical, and technical skills.
- Produce monthly reports in support of the financial close process.
- Analyze internal data, investigate anomalies, and summarize findings for actuaries.
- Communicate analysis results and appropriateness of actuarial techniques to management and non-technical users.
- Assist in producing profitability analyses for various segments of business.
- Seek to improve current reporting and actuarial processes.
- Pursue actuarial designation via participation in the Actuarial Study Program.
- Proficient with Microsoft products including Excel.
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to understand, evaluate and apply data into a useable format for users.
- Efficient, detail-oriented, and service-oriented.
- Ability to effectively use automation tools to improve the timeliness, accuracy, and content of reports.
- Expected to achieve actuarial certification designation over a reasonable period.
Education Requirement
- 0-2 years’ experience working in an actuarial department.
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or a related field.
